Emily Huber, PhD
Emily joined the Scientific Editing and Research Communication Core as a Scientific Editor and Writing Consultant in 2025. She received a PhD in Human and Statistical Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2024, where her research focused on long noncoding RNA and cellular physiology, and she has additional research experience in genomics, oncology, and virology. She has also developed and maintained laboratory databases and assisted teaching in graduate, undergraduate, and high school courses with a focus on scientific communication. Emily’s editing experience includes work on numerous manuscripts, fellowships, grant applications, presentations, and book chapters throughout her research career and previous role as a technical editor in the pharmaceutical industry.
