Biography
Kshitija joined the SERCC as a Scientific Editing Intern in May 2024. She is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the graduate program for Experimental Pathology at University of Iowa and is performing her PhD work under the mentorship of Dr. Nitin Karandikar. She is a trained physician from India and currently studies the role of human CD4 T-cells in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system. She has experience writing and reviewing several book chapters for pathology textbooks and enjoys creative writing. During her time with the SERCC, Kshitija hopes to hone her readability and editing skills to promote instrumental scientific communication.
