SERCC Services

SERCC editors work one-on-one with faculty and trainees to improve the success of their writing projects – helping to highlight their scientific message. Authors can select from various levels of input, including: mechanics; style, clarity, and presentation; and the science. The highest priority project types are:

Scientific writing courses, seminars, and workshops are also provided on a limited basis.

Services are broadly available, but highest priority and subsidized prices are given to CCOM users.

Large-Scale Proposal Development Service (LSPDS), New in 2025

In collaboration with the Research Administration Support Office (RASO) of the CCOM, the SERCC offers comprehensive assistance in developing large-scale grant proposals. A SERCC-based Grant Writer is available to write sections and edit documents for consistency in voice, and a RASO-based Research Support Manager is available to assist with project management (e.g., developing budgets, collecting data, and submitting documents).

  • This service is provided free of charge.
  • The contact/lead-PI must be affiliated with the CCOM.
  • This service is intended for large-scale grants  (e.g., NIH P-series, NIH S-series, ARPA-H) and institutional training grants.
  • Priority is given to projects requiring writing and/or assistance with project management.
